He is survived by: his wife Patricia Fields; his son James Elwood Fields (Amy); his sister Elizabeth Pusey of Wilmington; his grandchildren, James Preston Fields (Katherine), April Norris (Brent), Lisa Gibson, Thomas Fields and Samuel Fields; and his great grandchildren, Austin Fields, Jacob Satterfield and Caroline Satterfield.
