She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Buchanan, Sr. and Marjorie Duncan Buchanan; her former husband Tommy W. Buchanan, Sr.; her husband Lee Mabe, Sr.; and her brothers, Wade and Jimmy Dean Buchanan.
She is survived by: her sons, Tommy Buchanan of Mars Hill, Daniel Shane Buchanan and Paris of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Caleb, Ashley, Austin, Isaiah and Kayleigh; and her siblings, Everett Buchanan, Jr. (Beverly) and Revonda Biddix (Richard).
