With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Richard Kornegay Jr. of Turkey, North Carolina, who passed away on July 21, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Richard Kornegay and Beulah Summerlin Kornegay; his former wife Willa Jean Kornegay; and his grandson Richard Holland. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith Kornegay; his children, Delbert Kornegay (Donna Faulkner Kornegay) and Lora K. Holland (Robert); his stepdaughter Eileen Smith; his grandchildren, Everal Link, Emma Shelbie Kornegay and Rebecca Kornegay Jordan; his great grandchildren, Kylee Carter, Toby Shine Holland, Cameron Kinnaman and Allison Carlson; and his siblings, John Kornegay, Clara Lee Padgett, Dealie Langston, Eva Lockamy, Joyce Stallings and Kathy Pike.
