He was predeceased by: his parents, Filbert Brown and Gertrude Luker Brown. He is survived by: his wife Cara Lee Jones Brown; his children, Marguerite Brown (Vincent "Junior") of Wilson, Jessica Brown (Freddy) of Tuckasegee, Spurgeon "Toby" Brown of Tuckasegee, Jonathan Brown (Jessa) of Sylva and James Brown (Melody) of Tuckasegee; his sisters, Helen Gilliland of Anderson and Pearl Smith of Sweet Home, Oregon.; his sister-in-law Margaret Anne Wagner of Anderson; and his daughter-in-law Cara Jones of Alarka. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren.
