Nancy Burnett Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Burnett of Tuckasegee, North Carolina, born in Orlando, Florida, who passed away on June 11, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon James Bishop and Rozelle Elizabeth Morton; her son Ernest P. Burnett Jr.; her sister Patti Ann Bishop; and her former husband Ernest P. "Sonny" Burnett.

She is survived by: her daughter Andrea Shumate; her grandchildren, Matthew S. Shumate (Liz), Marilyn S. Nesbitt (Will), Ernest P. Burnett III, Dakota Beebe and Jackson Beebe; and her daughters-in-law, Bethany Burnett and Gina Burnett.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Nancy's memory to the Building Fund of Pinhook Valley Memorial Baptist Church, PO Box 615, Highway 215, Tuckasegee, NC 28723.
