George Roane Hooper Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Roane Hooper of Tuckasegee, North Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Coggins Hooper; his parents, Monroe Hooper and Florence Parrish Hooper of Tuckasegee; his daughter April; and his siblings, Jim, Robert, Raymond, Harold and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his daughters, Beverly Turrentine (Tom) of Tuckasegee, N. C. and Julie Donaldson (Kelly) of Webster, N. C; his granddaughters, Lindsey Holland of Tuckasegee, N. C., Katie Minyard (Mike) of Riverside, Calif, Sarah and Abby Spiro of Webster, N. C.; his great grandchild Mason Thomas Holland of Tuckasegee, N. C.; and his brothers, Frank Hooper (Dorothy) of Tuckasegee, N. C. and Wayne Hooper of California. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Due to the covid 19 virus, there will be NO indoor services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in George's name to the Tuckasegee Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at P.O. Box 6, Tuckasegee, N.C. 28783.
