We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2024, at the age of 86, Darrell J. C. Millsaps of Tuckasegee, North Carolina, born in Jackson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Millsaps and Elizabeth Millsaps. He is survived by: his siblings, Rae Hall, Pearl Wood, Violet Graves, Mary Roberson, Ruby Middleton, Velma Stephens and Vance Millsaps; his grandchildren, Whitney Grace and Brittany Ann Millsaps; his wife Joyce Clayton Millsaps; his children, Bryan R. Millsaps and Denise Millsaps; his grandchildren, Jeremy Pigg, Austin Millsaps, Andrew Pigg, Madison Lindemuth (Cameron), Lauren Pigg and Trevor Millsaps; and his brother Paul Millsaps. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
