She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyman Bryson and Martha Ellen Bryson; her spouse J. B. Chastain; and her siblings, Henry Hugh, Dorothy Ann Bryson and Walter Dee Bryson.
She is survived by: her children, Doug (Rose) of Tuckasegee, Tony of Tuckasegee, Sharon of Cleveland, TN and Debbie (Gary) of Tuckasegee; her grandchildren, Josh Chastain (Crystal), Jeremy Brooks (Beth), Jacob Brooks, Devin Chastain (Cheyanne), Pamela Chastain, Candice Stanley (Brandon) and Brittany Hill (Corey); and her great grandchildren, Jaydon, Haydon, Bo, Kaily, Lauretta, Layla, Coleman, Adam, Thomas, John, Birdie of Alain, A. J., Aubrey, Oaklee and Colton.
