He was predeceased by: his wife Dollie; his daughter Judy Anne; his parents, Jesse Hoxit and Florence Hoxit; his grandparents, Davis, Levi Hoxit and Mary Galloway; and his siblings, Anna Faye, Edith, Elma, Lillie and Leeward Hoxit.
He is survived by: his children, Hilda McCall (James) of Brevard, Donnie Hoxit (Sherry) of Sylva and Linda Luker (Steve) of Tuckasegee; his grandchildren, Tim, Jonathan, Chad, Trevor, Kathy and Amanda; and his siblings, Dorothy, Leola, Berlis, Leona, Gladys and Brenda. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Charleys Creek Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Charleys Creek Church.
