It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie Thompson of Tryon, North Carolina, who passed away on May 11, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur E. Rives and Beth G. Rives; and her husband Douglas M. Thompson. She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Thompson Metcalf; her sisters, Vickie Wallace and Verene Clindenst of Virginia; her grandchildren, Brandi Ross, Hali Smith (Jason) and Declan Jenkins; and her great grandchildren, Gavin M. Clayton and Malorie Smith.
