She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Covil and Lillian Covil; her son Michael Bridges (Rhonda); and her brother Thomas Covil. She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Bridges McCabe (Kevin) and Paula Bridges Ervin (Paul); and her grandchildren, Megan (Elizabeth), Michael II, James, Jacob, Danielle and Lily.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City, NC, or The American Cancer Society, Charlotte, NC.
