He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Covington and Dorothy Covington; and his siblings, Joe Covington and Evelyn Griggs of Rock Hill, SC.. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Covington (Sandi) of Indian Trail, Cheryl Maxwell (Morgan) of Winston Salem and Carla Langley (Aaron) of Tryon; his grandchildren, Sydney Langey, Jacob Maxwell, Emory Maxwell and Thomas "Porter" Langley; his sister Mamie Jackson of Rock Hill; and his sister-in-law Cindy Hannah of Greer.
