It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Johnson of Tryon, North Carolina, born in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Calvin and Anna Richards Bird. She is survived by: her husband Alan Dillistin Johnson (Hap); and her daughters, Jinny Johnson, Cynthia Johnson, Elizabeth Hitch and Ann Johnson. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
