With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Arvalee Pace Kimzey (Tryon, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Pace and Ada Metcalf Pace; her husband William Basil Kimzey, Sr.; and her brothers, Virgil Pace, Nathan "Junior" Pace and Ralph Pace.
She is survived by: her children, William "Bill" Kimzey, Jr. of Saluda, Timothy "Tim" Kimzey of Spartanburg and Mary Beth Kimzey of Saluda; her sister Zennie Cox of Greenville; and her grandchildren, David Vaughn, III (Jaymee), Ashley Sutton and Cory Sutton (Kaelyn). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the McFarland Funeral Chapel (54 McFarland Dr, Tryon, NC 28782). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at the Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery.
