We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2025, at the age of 74, Daniel Lee Merritt (Tryon, North Carolina) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Daniel Lee Merritt to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee Merritt and Florence Stitler. He is survived by: his wife Missy Miller Merritt; his son Christopher Merritt; his daughter-in-law Lori Merritt; his grandchildren, Eve, Reed, Brooke and Mitchell of Palo Alto, California.; and his siblings-in-law, Peter Miller Scott (Ellyn), Glenn Miller (Lynne), Leddy Naudain (Richard) and Monica Raab (Gary). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McFarland Funeral Chapel (54 McFarland Dr, Tryon, NC 28782).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Foothills Humane Society PO Box 985, Columbus, NC 2872, or Abandoned Angels Cocker spaniel rescue Inc. PO Box 545426 Flushing, NY 11354.
