She is survived by: her parents, John E. Owens and Dorothy Ward Owens; her siblings, John M. Owens (Ashley), Brandi Owens (Abram Miles), Heather Owens Matz (Daniel) and Tayler Ortiz-Figueroa (Ezequiel); and her grandmother Rose Owens. She is also survived by three nephews and nine nieces.
