He was predeceased by: his parents, Snig Chapman and Eva Wright Chapman; his sisters, Micki and Ginger; and his stepson James "Tank" Waters.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Cowan Chapman; his brother Authur "Big A" Chapman of Landrum; and his stepchildren, Smanatha Jackson of Tryon and Justin Jackson of Tryon.
