Stella Ruth (Kelly) Poole Obituary

Stella Ruth Kelly Poole of Candor, NC Passed away Monday, August 18th, 2014 at age 100 at home with her daughter in Mount Gilead, NC.
Stella was born January 21, 1914 in Montgomery County, North Carolina to John Wesley Kelly and Rosa Belle Harris Kelly.
Stella was the Author of “Come sing along with me, a little book of poetry”. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her Parents, Stella was preceded in Death by her Husband, (Lex Poole), a Daughter (Edna Mae Poole Blake), one grandson and one great-grandson.

She is survived by 5 sons; Edward Poole and wife Gathy of Norwood, NC, Chester Poole of Candor, NC, Harold Poole of Polkton, NC, Dudley Poole of Troy, NC and Melvin Poole and wife Kaye of Oakboro, NC; Her 4 Daughters: Clara Brigman and Husband Jimmy of Rockingham, NC, Alvis Goforth and Husband Grady of Candor, NC, Viola Ewing and Husband George of Rockingham, NC and Vonnie Helms and Husband Steve, of Mt. Gilead. She is also survived by her Grandchildren; David Goforth and wife Renee of Rockwell, NC, Bonita Goforth Johnson and Husband Gray of Greensboro, NC, Dale Goforth and wife Renita of Troy, NC, Belinda Stuart and husband Bill of Candor, NC, Bonnie G. Knox and husband Roger of Louisburg, NC, Clay Ewing and wife Melissa of Rockingham, NC, Anthony and John Dire Ewing of Rockingham, NC, Polly Brigman Everett and husband Kenneth Everett of Rockingham, NC, John Brigman of Ellerbe, NC and Christian Brigman of Ellerbe, NC. Her great Grandchildren; Kelly Everett of Rockingham, NC, Christin Brigman of Rockingham, NC and Amber Brigman Dixon and Husband Chris of Rockingham, NC. Stella is also survived by a Sister, Alta Kelly Shaw Sasser. And numerous Niece’s, Nephews and Cousins. Stella will be greatly missed by her family. She spent most of her life raising her 10 children, Serving God, Canning food with her Husband and Maintaining a small farm.
