He is survived by: his son Phil; his granddaughter Alston; his wife Linda Perry Thompson; his children, Phillip Roger Thompson (Nita) of Troy and Melissa Harris (Robert) of Mt. Gilead; his siblings, Claude Thompson of Biscoe, Hugh Thompson (Dianne) of Myrtle Beach, Yvonne McCaskill of Biscoe and Joann Greene (Cecil) of Biscoe; his sister-in-law Janice Thompson Janey (Larry); his grandchildren, Brittany Thompson and Cole Harris; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Cauwels and Oliver Cauwels.
