It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Kelley Haywood of Troy, North Carolina, born in Mount Gilead, North Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank "Tobe" Haywood and Myrtie Haywood; and his siblings, Billy Frank Haywood, Hilda Poplin and E. C. DeBerry.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Haywood; his daughter Beth Walker (John); his grandchildren, Kelley Howell (Brooke) and Hollis Fletcher (Craig); and his great grandchildren, Braelyn Howell, Chandler Howell, Everleigh Howell, Hayes Fletcher and Nora Fletcher.
