It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Perry Thompson Sr. of Troy, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Taft and Stacy Jane Suggs Thompson; his daughter Barbie Lynn Thompson; and his siblings, Olene, Jolly, Billy, Katherine, John Frank, Leroy and Floyd.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Thompson; his children, Sheila Poole of Troy, Perry Thompson, Jr. of Mt. Gilead and Terry Thompson of Troy; and his brothers, Bobby Joe Thompson of Kentucky and Dewey Lee Thompson of Troy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
