He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Goforth and Pauline Greene Goforth; and his sister Joyce Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Arlaine Haywood Goforth; his son Chris Goforth (Kristen) of Troy; his siblings, Charlie Goforth (Carol) of Troy and Phyllis Bowers of Candor; and his granddaughters, Emma Goforth and Elaina Goforth.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Parsons Grove Church (3441 Pekin Rd, Candor, NC 27229). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at the Parsons Grove Church Cemetery (3441 Pekin Rd, Candor, NC 27229).
