She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Wesley and Hilda Burns Purvis; her husband Crawford E. Slagle, Jr.; and her son John Curtis Slagle. She is survived by: her daughter Stacy Garner (Joey) of Seagrove; her stepdaughters, Emily Diane Slagle of Biscoe and JoAnn Hillard of Troy; her granddaughter Josie Mayalynn Garner (Jacob Byrd) of Asheboro; her brother Marvin Lewis Purvis (Goldie) of Carthage; her stepgrandchildren, Leah Hillard (Sterling Breeden), Kayla Sanchez (Angel Sanchez) and Jonathan Saunders (Ashley); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ellianna Rose, Novaleigh Grace, Kobe Sterling Keith and Tenshi Sanchez; her nieces and nephews, Ryne Purvis (Shannon), Kyler Purvis (Abbigail), Cassady Kronz (Chris) and Chance Purvis; her great-niece K. J. Harper; and her pet Kingsley Slagle.
