We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2022, at the age of 87, John Lewis Atkins of Troy, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Ray and Ora Blake Atkins; his son Lewis Dale Atkins; his brothers, Doyle Atkins and Bobby Ray Atkins; and his grandson Bradley Thomas Atkins.
He is survived by: his wife Edith McIntyre Atkins; his children, John Charles Atkins (Sherry) of Troy, Jeffrey Scott Atkins (Dodie) of Troy and Leigh Dawn Atkins Shank; his brother Royce Atkins (Joyce Ann) of Troy; his daughter-in-law Kathy Presnell Atkins of Asheboro; and his grandchildren, Lauren Atkins, Jennifer Atkins, Kelsey Atkins, Crystal Davis of Asheboro and Erica Shank.
