She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carpenter and Elizabeth Eugenia Willard Carpenter. She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Hannum of Flagtown, NJ and Brian Hannum of Bryson City, NC; and her grandchildren, Eric Hannum, Lisa Hannum, Kevin Hannum, Nathan Hannum and Keith Hannum. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
