Gail Burgess Gillis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gail Burgess Gillis of Troy, North Carolina, who passed away on February 6, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Lee and Elaine Batten Burgess. She is survived by: her children, James Gillis of Robbins, Patricia Gillis of Troy, David Gillis (Anissa) of Mt. Gilead and Elizabeth Gillis Cloninger; and her grandchildren, Clay Gillis, Noah Gillis, Abigail Cloninger and Olivia Cloninger.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church (1569 Troy Candor Rd, Candor, NC 27229). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (1569 Troy Candor Rd, Candor, NC 27229).
