She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Patterson Harris and Nell Batten Harris; her husband Doyle Mitchell Atkins; and her siblings, John Patterson Harris, Franklin Ross Harris, Peggy Geraldine Harris Callicutt and Mary Elizabeth Harris Medlin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynne Atkins Russell (Doc) of Troy and Tina Atkins of Troy; her grandson Robert "Robby" Lee Walsh, IV of Nashville, TN; her siblings, William "Butch" Donald Harris (Pam) of Norwood and Gay Nelle Harris Morris of Mt. Pleasant; her close friend Shane Sherer of Troy; her daughter Melanie Bumgarner of Laurinburg; her pet Peggy Marie; and her caregivers, Michelle Hunsucker and Mae Moore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
