He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Charles Wilson Bruton Sr. and Mabel Ruth Wood Bruton; and his brother Dr. Charles Wilson Bruton Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Haywood Bruton; his children, Eugene Thomas Bruton Jr. of Garner, Michael Chadwick Bruton of Albemarle, Isaac Nathan Bruton (Anna) of Princeton and Joy Bruton Eisner (Ben) of Wilson; his sister Ruth Bruton Morris (Jackie) of Troy; and his grandchildren, Michael Bruton, Joshuah Bruton, Jennifer Bruton, Olivia Bruton, Andrew Bruton, Spencer Bruton, Elliot Bruton, Henry Eisner and Hayes Eisner.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service (620 Albemarle Rd, Troy, NC 27371). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel (620 Albemarle Rd, Troy, NC 27371). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Southside Cemetery South Main (303 S Main St, Troy, NC 27371).
