He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Emmett Elyea Jr. and Mary Ann Snellgrove Elyea. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gordon Elyea; his children, Joshua Elyea, Jonathan Elyea, Jennifer Elyea Ewing (Shelby) and Joseph Elyea (Audrey Kate); his siblings, Emily Foppe (Larry) and David Elyea; his sister-in-law Susan Gordon Harker (Richard); and his pet Molly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home (522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the White Crest Baptist Church (1051 River Rd, Mt Gilead, NC 27306).
