He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl W Atkinson and Martha Deese Atkinson; and his siblings, Clinton Atkinson and Janice Gray. He is survived by: his wife Faye; his children, Angela Elkins (Mike), Sharon Harkins (John) and Courtney Atkinson (Susan); his grandchildren, Adam Elkins (Morgan), Drew Harkins (Lauren), Aaron Elkins (Abby), Matthew Harkins, Katie Elkins, Marin Atkinson and Sam Atkinson; his great grandchildren, Whit and Claire Elkins; and his brother James Atkinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
