He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Nelson Rogers and Jessie Boyles Rogers; and his brothers, Vince Rogers and Bobby Rogers. He is survived by: his sons, Shane Rogers (Natasha) and Joshua Rogers (Jennifer); his siblings, Wanda Rogers McCoy (Bill), Anna Rogers Case and Jerry Rogers; and his grandchildren, Mason, Aaron, Flynn, Olivia and MacKenzie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
