She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hoyt Hayes and Mary Sue Ledford Hayes; and her husband Paul Foster Haughton, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Rex Haughton (Caroline) of Troutman, NC. and Maria Haughton Roberson (Kevin) of Troutman, NC.; her stepchildren, Cory Haughton (Susan) of Chattanooga, TN, Beth Painter (Ray) of Chattanooga, TN, Paul F. Haughton, Jr. of King George, VA and Julia Haughton-Baldridge (Keith) of Nashville, TN; her daughter-in-law Harriet Haughton of Auburn, AL; and her siblings, Dianne Thackerson of Shelby, NC and Robert Hayes, Sr. of Shelby, NC. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
