He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Eugene Davis and Martha Vance Somers Davis; and his in-laws, William F. Ramsey of Old Fort, NC. and Juanita Williams Ramsey of Old Fort, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Susan Ramsey Davis; his daughters, Kim Miller (Randy) of Statesville, Lynn Sherrill (Chris) of Shelby, NC and Chris Jolly (Wally) of Statesville; and his cousins, Norma Herndon (Bill) of Kings Mountain, NC, Sally Sigmon (Trigger) of Newton, NC, John Troutman of Statesville and Diane Moore of Statesville.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Troutman Funeral Home (345 N Main St, Troutman, NC 28166). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Oakwood Cemetery (114 N Oakwood Dr, Statesville, NC 28677).
In lieu of flowers, the family of Mr. Davis asks for memorials to be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
