He is survived by: his brothers, Steve Poteat (Cathy) and Ken Poteat (Melissa) of Statesville; his son Ryan Woodard of Cornelius; his niece Laura Ann Poteat; and his nephews, Josh Poteat (Ashley) of Troutman and Jarrod Poteat (Ashley) of Statesville.
