He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Harris Barker and Mary Helen Eckstein Barker; his brother Dr. James H. Barker; his sister-in-law Anne Herrington Barker; his sister Nancy Jane Barker; and his uncles, Edward, Oren and Harold Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Constance Triplette of Elkin, NC; his children, Mary Barker Henson of Raleigh, NC and Roger Barker, Jr. of Pasadena, CA; his grandchildren, Maxwell Gainey of Raleigh and Margaret Henson of Vancouver, WA.; and his sister Ruth Ann Barker Smith (Jerry) of Jackson, TN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dr. Roger William Barker, 80, of Statesville, NC, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Gordon Hospice House, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
