He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred'Millie'Arthurs Lackey; his parents, Frank Lackey and Dovie Lackey; and his siblings, Robert, Doug and Jeanne Lackey.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Robert, Serena, Aidan Koonts, Mitch, Valerie Stone, Trent, Adeline and Wyatt Lackey. He is also survived by his children, their spouses.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home (705 Davie Ave, Statesville, NC 28677). A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church (204 Mills Ave, Troutman, NC 28166).
