With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pinkie Catherine Smith (Troutman, North Carolina), who passed away on September 10, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Long Young and Annie Pearl Miller-Young; and her siblings, Betty Jean Young-Massey and Jerry Shuford Young. She is survived by: her husband Julius Brockman Earl (Brock); her children, Vinson Young Smith, Amy Smith Gunthorpe (Douglas Melton Gunthorpe) and Leslie Smith Sams (William); her grandchildren, Kathryn Marie Gunthorpe and Andrew Trotter Sams; her great grandchild Ada Marie Sams; and her stepgreat-grandson Dante Sams. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
