She is survived by: her husband Dr. James Curtis Abell; her son James Anthony "Tony" Abell (Cari) of Lorton, VA; her grandchildren, Rylee Marie Abell, Wesli Ruth Abell and Marly Elizabeth Abell; her son Dr. Geoffrey Alan Abell of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Juliet Antonia Abell, Oliver James Alexander Abell and Felix Henry Abell; and her brother Dr. Michael E. Bost (Merlyn) of Winston Salem, NC..
