She was predeceased by: her parents, William Escar Hoover and Eunice Moose Hoover; her husband Joe C. Deese, Jr.; her siblings, Sadie H. Burnette, Hilda H. Deal, Gordon Hoover, Gray Hoover and Coite Hoover; and her nephews, Gerald Steven Hoover and Tony Hoover (Mary Jane).
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Hilliard (Larry) of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Kacie Bemmels (Wade) of Minnetrista, MN and Saegan Hilliard of Charlotte; her great grandchildren, Chase and Alexa Bemmels of Minnetrista, MN; and her nieces and nephews, Dennis Hoover (Joy) of Statesville, Emmit Robert Burnett, Jr. (Judy) of Whitmore, SC, David Burnett (Kim) of Burlington, NJ, Becky Ladd of Statesville, Loretta B. Conyers (William) of Frederick, MD, Susan Wolcott of Lawrenceville, GA and Karen Banizaman (Saeed) of Columbia, SC.
