She is survived by: her children, Kelly Dowell and Jeffrey Johnson (Deborah) of Knightdale; her sister Betty Menscer of Statesville; her sisters-in-law, Betty Davis of Statesville, Irene Compton of Statesville and Patty Compton of Statesville; her grandchildren, Sam Dowell (Cristina), Matt Dowell (Abbi), David Jackson, Melody Gelsone, Susan Goodbar (Darryl), Burke Johnson (Victoria), Jordan Johnson and Faith Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Caroline, Preston and Charlotte Johnson.
