It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorene Gilleland of Troutman, North Carolina, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Coy Marlow and Lillian Waugh Marlow; and her siblings, Dorothy McCoy (David), Beatrice McCoy (Clarence) and J. D. Marlow (Matoka).
She is survived by: her husband G. Carroll Gilleland; her grandchildren, Charlene Jones (Zane), Kaylee Johnson (Kylie), Joshua Simpson (Kaiden) and Emily Holcomb; her great grandchildren, Bailee Johnson, Grayson Jones, Emma Jones and Wylder Simpson; and her niece Patricia Medlin (Alex). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
