He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Eugene Wilhelm and Margaret Freeze Wilhelm; his wife Ruby Lipe Wilhelm; his brother Billy Wilhelm; his sister-in-law Carolyn Wilhelm; and his son-in-law John Gilreath.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce W. Gilreath and Richard A. Wilhelm; his grandsons, Jeremiah Gilreath (Danielle), Benjamin Gilreath and Daniel Gilreath (Kirby); his great grandchildren, Luke Gilreath, Sadie Gilreath and Cora Gilreath; and his sister Carolyn Bass (David).
