He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Bruce Barnette; his daughter Haddie Marie Barnette; his brother Lee Alexander Barnette; and his grandparents, Robert Fleming, Willis and Louise Barnette.
He is survived by: his mother Loretta Fleming Walton (Gerald "Bubba"); his wife Rebecca Beaver Barnette; his daughters, Kayden Elizabeth Barnette and Ava Lea Barnette; his stepsister Kristi Hyman (Jeff); his grandmother Thelma Nance; his stepgrandmother Elizabeth Fleming; and his niece Olivia Barnette.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Southside Baptist Church (525 S Broad St, Mooresville, NC 28115). A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the same location.
