He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Elbert Pierce and Rosie Mitchell Pierce; his son Jimmy Alan Pierce; his siblings, Grady Pierce, JC Pierce, Marie Mecimore, Essie Mae Hall and Phyllis Pierce; and his grandson BJ Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Pennell Pierce; his children, Sandra Wilusz (Jeff), Beverly Isenhour, Billy Pierce of Statesville and Allen Pierce of Statesville; his grandchildren, Ryan Wilusz (Katherine), Katelyn Pierce, Ethan Isenhour, Nora Isenhour and Regina Walker; his great grandchildren, Katie, Dylan and Julie; his great great grandchild Magnolia; and his sisters, Linda Pardue (Paul) and Arlene Keever (Kenny).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Iredell County Animal Shelter, 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC 28677.
