It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jacob Rence Hanson of Troutman, North Carolina, born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Silvis Hanson and Wilbert H. Hanson (Swick); and his son Jay D. Hanson. He is survived by: his wife June Costabile Hanson; his daughters, Kimberly (Regie Bryant) of Charlotte and Karla (Brian Cattrell) of Johnson City; his grandchildren, Aaron (Stephanie Rentschler) of Rock Hill and Amanda (Anthony D'Oriano) of Charleston; and his great grandchildren, Asa, Jaya, Lane, Margo, Atlas, Pax and Reverie. He is also survived by niece, nephews, great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins.
