He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Eugene Carpenter, Sr. and Judy Black Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Jack E. Carpenter, III, Shannan Carpenter, Keri McGaha, Sausha Nowak, Cortinie Nowak, Richard Nowak and Chevy Nowak; and his siblings, Jeanie, June and Jerry. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
