He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lawton and Jeannette Overcash Hinson; and his siblings, Sarah Velma and David Franklin Hinson (Christine). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cheek Hinson; his sons, Rodney William Hinson (Robin) and Jeffrey Alan Hinson; his grandchildren, John Cameron, Ethan Rodney, Emmanuelle Caroline and Bradley Michael Hinson; and his niece Annette McCarter (Bill).
