He was predeceased by: his sister Maxine Sims. He is survived by: his wife Ann Morrow Sims; his children, Kenneth Brent Sims (Rose) of Troutman, Jane Sims Babela (John) of China Grove and Lynn Dale Sims Winecoff (Eddie) of Cherryville; his grandchildren, Melissa J. Bunting, Kathryn B. Sowers (Trent), Michael Winecoff (Heather), Brandon Winecoff (Brandy), Kimberly W. Dover (Chip), Shawna Sims, Ashley Sims Matheson (Dylan) and Jeremy Babela; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Winecoff, Kyndall Winecoff, Rylee Winecoff, David Scott Meadows, Taylor Sowers, Kenleigh Sowers and Charlie Dover.
