He was predeceased by: his father Warren Estel Mitchell; and his brother Johnny Mitchell. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Davis Mitchell of Dobson; his wife Lisa Doutt Mitchell; his children, Casey (Cindy Mitchell), Landon (Kayla Mitchell), Kenley (Maggie Mitchell), Haily (Justin Leone), Hunter Mitchell (Carolina Casin), McCrae Norton of Gaffney, SC and Maddie (Kyle); his grandchildren, Alek, Cortni-Morgan Fargis, Colby Mitchell, Zackary Mitchell, Maddox Leone, Lexington "Lexi" Leone, Wade Mitchell and Rae Hoke; his sisters, Sandra Martin of Gastonia and Sharon; and his brother-in-law Ricky Adkins of Yadkinville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
