He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Marshall and Wanda Swearingen Marshall. He is survived by: his wife Helen Copeland Marshall; his siblings, Jeffrey Marshall, Rita Marshall Doerting (Glenn), Phyllis Marshall and Denise Marshall Riffe (Larry); his children, Hope Marshall Jordan (Jeffrey Jordan), David Marshall, Jr. (Angela), Stephanie Mason Padgett (Todd Padgett) and Shannon Mason (Maria); his grandchildren, Greyson Marshall, Maylea Marshall, Brandon Padgett, Taylor Padgett, Colby Padgett, Sarah Mason and Anna Mason; and his former wife Betty Barlowe Avnet. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
